It’s a Powerful, Vulnerable Take from The London Songwriter…

By FM

Fast making her mark on the Alt-Pop space across London, songwriter Hedara returns with an epic piece of songwriting showcasing her melancholic, yet raw musical talent. An emotionally charged piece, the new single Fire with Fire deals with issues surrounding anxiety, reflecting a difficult time in the artist’s life.

“It’s a self biographical song about living with anxiety. It was written at a turning point, where I realised I could stand up to my triggers and deal with them face on”

A prolific songwriter who we feature regularly due to her outstanding and consistent musical output, she’s been racking up the accolades and building fans in all the right places. She’s found favour among Jo Whiley and Dermot O’Leary who regularly supported her tracks across BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing and 6Music. Her recent collaboration also went on to receive support from Mistajam on BBC Radio 1.

Speaking on her new single, Hedara states: Fire With Fire is a self biographical song about living with anxiety. It was written at a turning point, where I realised I could stand up to my triggers and deal with them face on. It’s an admission about knowing that I get stuck in circles and that leads to me repeating the same mistakes which only make things worse, but, at least I’m at a point now where I can see that. It’s honest, but hopeful, and shows that fighting fire with fire is not the answer”
