Hearts unleash a vibrant indie-rock track called ‘Slide’

"Living and breathing being in bands for the last decade, there’s nothing we know better, and we want to keep championing guitar-music moving forward"
9 August 2023

Slide is the perfect way to get into Hearts‘ music – it’s a super cool blend of indie rock, with edgy synth vibes. Hearts is made up of talented artists from Catfish and The Bottlemen (UK), The Bongo Club (SE), and Bottlecap (SE). They’re one of the fresh faces on the Swedish music scene.

They’re kicking things off with a bang by introducing Slide. The boldness, infectiousness, and vibrant textures of this opening number will catch your attention right away.

Slide is a catchy indie rock tune that features a bold chorus filled with lively guitars and synth hooks. It’s about the way we face the challenges of life and the constant act of juggling to take care of ourselves while still being there for our loved ones.

The first single from their debut EP, is given us a little sneak peek of the amazing stuff they’ve got in store.

Slide was actually recorded and produced by the awesome Fredrik Serholt at Audiofabriken in Gothenburg. And it was mixed and mastered by the talented Pieter Rietkerk at Chapel Recording Studios all the way over in Lincolnshire.

The band shares: “We all come from a background of extensive touring, playing venues all over the world, and our shared passion for playing live is the foundation of Hearts. Living and breathing being in bands for the last decade, there’s nothing we know better, and we want to keep championing guitar-music moving forward.”

The band’s sound totally takes you back to “that awesome feeling of walking into a jeans store in 2010”. That kind of situation where the music is loud and energetic. Hearts‘ music is all about capturing that emotion and bringing it to life through their music.

Hearts takes inspiration from the awesome indie bands of the early 2000s and gives it a fresh twist for 2023. Their modern rock sound is perfect for those festival stages, and they’re ready to rock your socks off!
