Greta Jaime returns and shines with her latest cut Internet Love…another modern tale of romance, love and heartbreak.
So, what’s up Greta? What’s on your mind right now…?
Lots of things, I’m super excited about this release and the reception has been great so far! I’m also working on new music so I’m thinking about that too…
Tell us everything we should know about your new track Internet Love.
It’s super personal, sonically slightly experimental and about how weird it is to meet people online.
What inspired you to write a song about ‘the vertiginous altitudes of love in the digital age…’
I think I had the concept in the back of my mind for a while, because I like writing from different perspectives and talking about love in relation to the internet just felt natural and like a unique perspective. The main inspiration was my own experiences and just trying to recount situations I had been in.
What kind of music are you listening these days?
At the moment there’s lots of new artist that are killing it – I like Finneas, Fletcher, Ama Lou. The new Marren Morris album has been on repeat – she has a rasp in her voice I love and the songwriting is great. St Vincent always.
Which animal would best suit your personality?
A parrot, they’re always making noise haha.
What was the first album you purchased?
Hmmm I don’t know if I bought them or if my parents had these albums but I want to say Abraxas, by Santana or Are You Experienced by Hendrix were some of the first albums I properly delved into.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Lots of mesh, lots of black.
Tell us about your next show and why we should be there.
My next gig is at The Finsbury on the 17th of December with Liza Lo and Irene Conti. You should come to hear a cover of a Christmas song obviously 🙂
