GRETA ISAAC Reveals HOW TO BE A WOMAN

"I’d like for people to see the humor in it even though it’s a pretty heavy topic. It takes the perspective of societal structures that often characterise women as one-dimensional and refers to them as inanimate objects…There was a strange comfort for me knowing that this was my list and I just needed to stick to it.”

Welsh singer-songwriter Greta Isaac’s latest track is a powerful anthem that bites back against society’s expectations of women. How to Be a Woman is the final piece to the release of her long-awaited EPPessimist.

Another explosive pop track with an irresistible chorus and melody, Greta is sharp tongued and incisive with her lyrics on the latest single, declaring how “I don’t ever want to be you” in a trio of repetition. Becoming renowned for her ability to craft catchy hooks on tracks that brim with passion, How to Be a Woman targets archaic beauty standards in a pointed but classy fashion.

‘How to Be a Woman’ is like a list of how I found myself navigating the world from a young age. It’s a bit tongue in cheek but really blunt.” Says the rising singer, whose new EP includes previously revealed tracks like Power and Like Me that built a name for herself. “I’d like for people to see the humor in it even though it’s a pretty heavy topic. It takes the perspective of societal structures that often characterize women as one-dimensional and refers to them as inanimate objects…There was a strange comfort for me knowing that this was my list and I just needed to stick to it.”

Having already garnered strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, as well as support from Spotify, Apple, and Amazon too, Greta has achieved a spot on the Big Weekend 2021 line-up courtesy of BBC Introducing. With many big names confident in the vocal talent and songwriting ability of the growing songwriter, this EP will be an early landmark in her career.
