Bursting on to the scene with her debut single, London-based A.I.W.C births a brand new interpretation of contemporary R&B with Senseless Drama. The single acts as the gateway between aspiring music artist and the reality of being a serious contender in the emerging talent pool, with prospects of A.I.W.C sitting comfortably amongst her fellow female risings Jgrrey, Mae Muller and IYAMAH.
Speaking to FM on the track, A.I.W.C explains; “A love tale of a woman that has multiple personalities and different agenda’s which manifest themselves through various attributes of ‘Senseless Drama’. Discovering the different character’s a female possesses in times of tension and turmoil.
We enter her world of mystery to discover each of her characters which the love interest will have to understand. During the story we take this trip through the house trying to discover the girl he is looking for, we meet the different characters along the way uncovering weird, crazy, interesting personalities who take us through the journey. We have to determine which person is the one for us, who do we choose? The choice is up to you and depends upon what you are looking for.”
A.I.W.C formally known as Oprah Pierre, states that she knew at just aged six years old that she wanted to be a star. Influenced by the Sunday church choir and her mother’s varied collection of music, from gospel, Reggae to country and western playlists.
A.I.W.C’s style of singing is eccentric, mysterious and different with her name in large part inspired by her sound. A.I.W.C an abbreviation of “Alien in wolves clothing” stands for something and or someone who appears to be something or someone they are not. It has come from the saying “never trust a wolf in sheep’s clothing”. When people hear my music what they expect and what A.I.W.C delivers is somewhat unexpected hence the reason for the name.
