FORRM introduce JUNKIE WAYZ. A pre-release cut that shifts rock psychedelia into a film-led, texture-first system.
Recorded live in New York (Flow Studios) with David Patillo, the session captures a raw performance base before reconstruction. Final shaping moves to the South of France at Bloom Studio with Firouz FarmanFarmaian and Marin Henrion, closing on analog tape with Bill Cox, keeping the signal warm and unstable.

The structure moves hybrid, distorted guitars smear into electronic layers, rhythm loosens, and the vocal sits embedded rather than leading. No hook-first push. Tone, space, and drift carry the narrative, closer to score than single.
Written originally during FarmanFarmaian’s Playground – Nightology phase (produced by Eric Chedeville), the track re-emerges here reconfigured, tracing a character arc between seduction and collapse, set against a shifting, city-led backdrop.

The release opens BOUTIQUE, not positioned as a standard album, but as a cinematic, multi-format piece. Live instrumentation folds into studio manipulation, with composition, visual language, and sequencing operating as one system.
Format stays intentional: first drop May 1 (digital), followed by a June 4 limited cassette via We R the Nomads. Finite, physical, controlled, pushing against always-on streaming logic.
FORRM’s recording footprint. Paris, New York, North Africa, with sessions across Morocco, Spain, and the South of France, feeds directly into the structure. Psychedelic rock fragments, ambient drift, and score-driven composition intersect without locking into one lane.
JUNKIE WAYZ sets the tone early. Hypnotic, unstable, and built to hold tension rather than resolve it.
