Fancy a festival with all the fun of a Glastonbury or V Festival, but at half the price then get yourself down to Tribfest, Europe’s biggest tribute band festival.
Tribfest is an affordable family festival that ticks all the boxes of the bigger ones but without the rip off prices and you can camp on site for the whole weekend.
Tribfest recently secured a brand new site at the Beverley Polo Club Tickton, near Beverley, and the event will take place the weekend of the 21st 22nd 23rd August 2009.
Eddy Faulkner, Festival Director of Ed Entertainments commented: “Sales for the much anticipated 2009 event have been overwhelming. We are 100% up on sales for this period on the previous year.
We have had lots of interest not only in the East Yorkshire region but accross the UK.
We are bringing people into East Yorkshire that otherwise would not come, which is fantastic as it bring prosperity into area within these difficult times. Tribfest has had national exposure through various national media outlets. We have a licence for 5,000 and would love to reach full capacity this year said Eddy
Eddy continued: As the event grows the operation around it has too. A modern, interactive website with online 24-hour booking facility helps to provide fans with everything they need to know about the event at a touch of the button. The website has also increased in vistors by over 700% on 2008.
We have added lots of new extras to the festival this year, we have the very popular professional lookalikes back, 2 extra music marquees, an aucoustic with 20 bands on throughout the weekend and another for local rock bands with 16 bands on stage throughout the weekend. We also have an extra band each night at 12 midnight within the VIP area.
Our zany pull of the year is “The Brett Domino Trio†from this years ITVS’s Britains Got Talent, they have to be seen to be believed.
Alongside our main stage with big screen 20 of Europe’s biggest Tribute bands
We also are catering for the Kids with Creche facilities throughout the weekend and lots of stuff to do for the under 8’s
To date we now have a total of 60 bands playing throughout the weekend said Eddy
Terry Brownlee of Vale Developments Wyton near Hull (sponsor of one of the bands on the main stage) says “Tribfest is the best event to happen in the region, this will be our third year, my wife and 2 kids absolutley love it, we normally would be abroad this time but the last 3 years we plan around Tribfest so we can go, it’s that good†One of the main reasons we attend it is a safe enviorement for the kids with friendly and efficent securityand staff plus the set up would grace any major festival .
I would recommend 100% if you havent been then go, once you have been you will be hooked said Terry (Continued)
Tribfest is making some big waves in the festival world with 4 nominations from 2008 from the UK Festival Awards and hopes to continue in the same frame in 2009
It’s the first time we are using the facilities at the Beverley Polo Club so it’s all very exciting said Eddy.
We have had a fantastic response from the neighbouring Village of Tickton with over 200 tickets sold.
The long term goal is to put Tribfest alongside some of the top festivals in the UK
