The Bristol-Based Indie-Roots Artists Return

Adam & Lawrence Purnell, have been creating some of the most affecting indie, folk & americana music over the past few years. On their new single Make A Move, they might have crafted their biggest anthem to date. Strictly following the formula of upbeat, Roots-based indie, a La The Black Keys, it’s a barfight of a single showcasing the duo’s love for Americana tinged sounds.

Make a Move is a confident step forwards both in songwriting and lyrical acumen. “Rip a couple letters out my book, baby, because I know you’ve been dying just to turn a couple pages”.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the new single, the duo state: “Writing ‘Make a Move’ was an opportunity to show the bold and energetic elements of who we are as ‘Foreign Affairs’. It’s a switch from the more reflective and introspective singles that we have been releasing recently. This is definitely a statement of confidence about our originality and that we feel we have something different to show the world. ”
