FM Recommends: scxtty’s ‘Red Camaro’

"Red Camaro is about wanting to get out of a small town and make it big time. As cliche as it sounds it's very honest because I've lived in New Jersey my whole life and really want to get out eventually and move to the west coast."

Welcoming in the new post-covid era of pop-punk is newcomer scxtty. After dropping his debut single ‘Let Me Out (21st Century)’ he has gone from strength to strength with his following two unforgettable releases, ‘Voicenote – Nobody’ and ‘Cupid’. Now, with his most recent release, the undeniably sassy ‘Red Camaro’, scxtty is only extending his reach. ‘Red Camaro’ is a nostalgic and catchy little tune that after just one listen you’re likely to find yourself humming along to for days.

“Red Camaro is about wanting to get out of a small town and make it big time. As cliche as it sounds it’s very honest because I’ve lived in New Jersey my whole life and really want to get out eventually and move to the west coast. To be the next big thing and be idolized like people idolized James Dean, that’s what the song entails. Wanting to live the daydream that I think about while I sit in my Psych class.”

As the new face on the pop-punk playground, scxtty is holding his own amongst some of the best newcomers over the last few years.
