FM Recommends: DARK TROPICS’ KEEP SEARCHING

“'Keep Searching' was inspired by the vibrancy and romance of 60's American soul music. It's about not wanting to be left behind and having the strength and resolve to chase a dream no matter what."

We’ve been keeping an eye on Belfast’s alt-pop duo Dark Tropics since their excellent debut single, Badlands, out early last year. A year later and they’re back with Keep Searching – still only their third single, so they’re obviously taking their time with their music, and it’s paid off.  Exploring a more vintage sound, Keep Searching once again showcases solid songwriting, masterfully blending Rio’s dreamy vocal with lush strings and another really addictive chorus. They clearly know how to write hooks in Belfast! Looking forward to seeing what they do next.

And here’s the band on the track:  “Keep Searching was inspired by the vibrancy and romance of 60’s American soul music. It’s about not wanting to be left behind and having the strength and resolve to chase a dream no matter what.”
