Tachys has just released a new single called Boy that pursues their unique mixture of electronic, alternative and horror pop elements. It is full of fascinating soundscapes and exciting rhythms that will get you nodding. The boys gathered in their own studio in Copenhagen to record and mix the song.

If you’re looking for something trippy, check out Tachys‘ new single’s visuals for Boy. Get ready to be truly mesmerised and enjoy your trip!

Jonas Bjerre of Tachys explaians: “For me and Tobi, ‘Boy‘ tickles us in new unexpected ways. It’s probably the farthest we have strayed from our respective sounds, and that’s very freeing. It’s what the song is all about, for us. Giving in to the desire to know other sides of yourself, and not let pre-conceived ideas hold you back from exploration”

Boy shows the artists’ willingness to think outside the box and delve into difficult topics. This song is about a guy who’s so handsome he had to hide in a tunnel to avoid people staring at him.

Taken by his own selfishness, he is trapped between what he wants and what he knows to be right. His consciousness and guilt are wrestling with his ego and ambition.

The duo says: “Each of us has multiple sides to ourselves, and ‘Boy’ is about the fear of acknowledging darker aspects of our personality, and letting go of the illusions we build for ourselves, the characters we end up pretending to be.”

The song is all about exploring yourself and the fear of coming to embrace your true identity.
