Bristol’s indie-pop sensation Rothwell releases a raw, stripped-back version of her recent summer hit Follow When You’re Dancing, that really pushes the emotional fragility of her voice through. The original saw the young singer-songwriter effortlessly drawing on pop, house and RnB influences resulting in a truly immersive soundscape.
Rothwell reveals: “Follow When You’re Dancing is a song for the lonely hearts. I think there’s so much to be said for mislead youth and loss of self value in my generation and I wanted this song to expose weaknesses suffered by most, but to also express that that’s perfectly okay and actually what makes us us. One for the dance floor, margarita in hand and inhibitions out the bloody door! You. Do. You.”
Rothwell has supported Justin Bieber on his ‘Purpose UK Tour’ and played to sold out crowds at both Hyde Park’s British Summer Time and the Isle of Wight Festival.
