US singer-songwriter Jessica Nicole Brown has unveiled Single Forever, accompanied by a self-directed music video, with both the song and video premiering on FM this week.
Aptly released just before Valentine’s Day, the track exaggerates the notion of being single for a long period of time and theorises on why that might be; although, it’s worth watching the video until the very end for a surprising twist. The track itself is simply sublime, with Jessica’s sugary sweet vocals standing out considerably and bringing the honest lyrics to life. A scenic video that captures Jessica walking through her hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee and soaking up the views as she reflects on single life.
Single Forever is Jessica’s first release of 2022 and follows on the back of last year’s He Don’t Date Black Girls and My Sista, My Girl. Elaborating further on the new release, Jessica says: “The song is a slight exaggeration built on the thought that I’ll be single for a while, whether it be because of my own choices or just the flow of life.”
Crediting inspiration from the likes of Jon Bellion, Musiq Soulchild and Lauryn Hill, Jessica is a breath of fresh air in the music industry and has the talent to make a huge impact over the next few years. We can’t wait to see what she does next! Single Forever is available to buy/stream on 11th February on all platforms.
