Budding British pop star SAPPHIRE has recently revealed her remarkable new release, ‘Repeat’. Drawing on her own experience of overthinking, this experimental offering symbolises breaking free of unhealthy thoughts and serves as a form of emotional catharsis.
We had the pleasure of chatting to SAPPHIRE earlier this month about everything from her latest single to the magic of Hogwarts…
Hey SAPPHIRE, how are you?
I’m okay thank you! I’m currently getting over a cold but feeling much better now haha!
What can you tell us about your new single ‘Repeat’?
Repeat is a song that I wrote last summer about a situation I was in that was causing me to go round and round in circles in my head. I was being dishonest to myself about how I was really feeling and I didn’t realise how much it was hurting me. Writing this record really helped me realise my true feelings, and I just really hope that this song can help any listeners going through a similar thing do the same.
Where do you think your music fits in today’s world?
That’s actually such a hard question cuz I really don’t know, but it would be really cool if my music could resemble Hogwarts in some way – it’s a place no one has actually visited, but it feels like home, a place of comfort and good memories.

Dream line up. If you could tour with any musicians, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Oh my goodness – Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon. I honestly would love to have a chat with them and learn from their experiences. They’re just absolutely phenomenal and their music is so special to me.
If you had to describe your sound in three words what would they be?
I love vocoders.
What do you want people to take away from listening to your music?
I just really hope my music can be the soundtrack to their life in some way. If one of my songs can bring that nostalgic feeling of “do you remember when we had our first kiss to this?”, that would be a dream come true. And I just hope my music can help people!! There are so many tracks in my life that have inspired me, and I very much hope my music can do the same.
What can we expect from you in the next twelve months?
More music (and probably another hairstyle change)!! I’m always writing new stuff and I just can’t wait to release it all. Hopefully I’ll be doing lots more shows next year as I’ve missed it more than anything. I just can’t wait to see everyone properly again and say a huge thank you in person.
