Australian artist AOHDAN – aka Aidan Whitehall delivers a slice of “sparkly, indie dream guitar pop” with his convincing new single Flies In My Room out now via AntiFragile Music.

Hi AOHDAN! How are you today?

Hello! I am very well, thank you! How are you today?

I’m feeling great thanks! What’s your new EP ’Flies In My Room’ all about?

‘Flies In My Room’ as a whole is just about youth and experiences I’ve had as a young person. Every song in the EP is inspired by and written, in some way or another, about things that have happened over the past 5 years or so

Who are your biggest influences?

Some of my biggest influences would probably be Wallows, Day Wave, Josh Pyke, and Dayglow. All four of these artists have a pretty big impact on the way I write and produce my music

Describe your sound in five words:

Sparkly, indie dream guitar pop

If you could collaborate with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

Kurt Cobain for sure. Now that’s a brain I’d like to pick at

How have you kept yourself entertained during lockdown?

Just by playing lots of video games, watching lots of movies, and making not as much music. I’ll try to get into the studio as much as I can and try to milk an idea out. Usually, I quite like what I come up with but it kinda just stays as an “idea” for while afterward

What’s the music scene like in Australia at the moment? Any new artists you can recommend?

There’s always new music and artists coming out of Australia which is great to see, especially during the pandemic. But in saying that, the scene also felt kinda dead since COVID started. However there are still new artists I can recommend such as Abbey Bella May, EGOISM, Majak Door, Loons, Floodway. So much cool new music

What are your plans for the rest of 2021?

I’ll be making more music for sure, hopefully going on tour as planned. Fingers crossed that it’ll still go ahead. Perhaps organize some collabs maybe? That might be cool

Where can we find you online?

You can find me on Instagram @aodha.n, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and on my website,

Any last words?
