Rising Pop-Punk band Haley Bowery and The Manimals releases single “All Lies” as free download (above),taken from their highly anticipated debut album, Born Strange.
Born Strange, due out in June 2012, will be available in a 10 track standard edition digitally. The album was mixed and mastered at The Brewery Recording Studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
“All Lies” is about internal contradictions”, says Haley Bowery. “Choosing to be a bad bitch or someone more open-hearted, knowing that the latter brings a lot of hurt. Maybe being bold and being vulnerable aren’t mutually exclusive. The main point of the song is, you can’t be hard forever, you might end up missing your whole life.”
At a Haley Bowery & the Manimals show, you can expect costume changes, whiskey swilling, profanity-laden crowd baiting, and a serious throwback to the energy and thrill of 70s-era CBGBs. Haley began recording for her first full-length studio album in February 2012, for a spring/summer release.
