After the release of his debut album, ‘Born Survivor’, in 2018, Ewan J Phillips played a series of shows at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and Troubadour. He has also played several Sofar Sounds sets.
Taken from his sophomore album, the piano ballad I’m Yours, is been released ahead of his wedding with collaborator and love of his life Freya Ridings.
The London-based writer/producer reveals: “I’m lucky enough to be marrying the woman of my dreams, the one and only Freya Ridings. It means everything to me that we get to be the best versions of ourselves and thrive side by side. This is for her.”
Phillips uses beautiful metaphors and evocative imagery created via his raw-sounding piano, to explore the complexities of love.
This intimate love song was written with a passion that can only be expressed by someone who has experienced true love. The distinctive piano ballad accompanies the story of Ewan’s courageous leap into love, while the lyrics allow the listener to reflect in an honest and introspective way.
Phillips has been collaborating with Freya Ridings (Good Soldier) on her second album and Lola Young(LiveNation/Island Records) / Paul Epworth on upcoming breakthrough singles.
