The Berlin-based artist Emika has revealed a sparse and hypnotic new song Sleep In The Day. The song was recorded in Bristol earlier this year, with Jim Barr of Portishead.

The song is the first to be released on her new collaborative label Improvisations X Inspirations, where artists will have the opportunity to transform the album making process, stripping back things to their raw emotions and inspired moments.  Giving artists and listeners alike, a different perspective to enjoy and appreciate.

Emika explains…“I feel like, perhaps just one beautiful song is all that makes sense to share at this time and it is the first step on my journey with this new project.  I am looking forward to releasing music from the other artists who inspire me very much and watching how this will all begin to take a new shape of its own”.

While Sleep In The Day and the launch of her new label continues her European electronic and modern classical adventures from Berlin to London, via Prague and Bristol, Emika has exciting new projects lined up for Improvisations X Inspirations composer and organist  Katta, Electronic artists Schlindwein and Eomac, and Julien Marchal.
