An electrifying offering from the Minnesota artist, ETHOS XCIX shows why he is the name on everybody’s lips with Leave Me.
Slick and synth-laden, the self-produced track boasts the early signs of a star, with punchy hits and immense dubstep drops colliding to create a melody that is reminiscent of classic electronica. With touches of melancholic emo-punk that still makes you want to let loose, he masters the ability to genre blend and make the listener feel multiple emotions at once. With the lyrics depicting a time in his life when he ‘felt very isolated and alone’, Ethos takes this difficult aspect and turns it into a single that shines with sincerity and spark.
The multi-instrumentalist is no stranger to bearing his soul through his music, and his relatability has made him a significant one to watch in the last year. His tracks Stay and LOML both bore the similar dancefloor worthy flair that Leave Me possesses, and he looks set to be a stellar addition to the nightlife scene.
