Elad David gets us ‘Electrified’ with his new EP

"I'm a classic rock guy, but I have many many influences, such as jazz, blues, grunge, folk, bluegrass and more."

Elad David‘s Electrified is the third single lifted from his new EP The Big Picture. Electrified is a fun & exciting tune that combines lush electronic beats with rock guitars and synthesizers. There’s even a saxophone for a fervid Rock/fusion vibe that would be perfect as the soundtrack to an intense 80’s video game.

Recording everything himself in his home studio, he composed all the music, produced it, recorded it, and mastered it. The Israeli band, Kalbei Pavlov, has Elad as their lead guitarist and ukulele player for years. His career in music is quite varied, which has allowed him to release original tracks (mostly instrumental) at an almost constant rate.

Tell us everything we should know about ‘Electrified

Electrified is the 3rd single from my new EP The Big Picture. This track is a mixture of an electro beat with rock guitars, 80’s video game-style synths, and a fusion guitar solo. Actually, this is my favorite track from that mini-album.

If you had to describe your sound in three words what would they be?

It’s hard to describe. I’m a classic rock guy, but I have many many influences, such as jazz, blues, grunge, folk, bluegrass and more. This EP is a special project, It’s the first time I produce something electronic with a lot of synths. It actually started when I composed and produced – Power of the soul (the 5th track on the EP) as an opening/intro to my brother’s podcast. The idea was in my head so strong that it took me about 3 hours to compose and record it. And then I thought it was so cool and decided to make a full-concept album like that.

Which artists are you listening to right now?

I listen to all the new music that is released every week. I really like the new Muse album. And surprisingly, since I got more into producing, I started enjoying a lot of stuff and appreciating stuff because of their production. So for instance I really liked the new Charlie Puth album as well.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I think we are living in great times for independent musicians. There are so many ways to reach more ears and many more advantages. But, In Israel for example, I would like there to be more respect and more respect and appreciation for culture and art. It is very missing and noticeable, at least here.

You are currently a lead guitarist and Ukulele player in the Israeli “Kalbei Pavlov” band, If you could open a show for any artist who would it be?

That’s right. I’m sure all the band members will be very happy to warm Muse. Or the Royal Blood :)

What’s next for you?

My EP was released last Friday, so now I’m working on new materials. I plan to release something more acoustic, and I’ve got a cool ukulele cover coming up. and some more great music. In addition, of course, I continue to serve as a session musician and mixing engineer.
