BBC6 Music’s Lauren Laverne-approved, electronic artist DYVR has recently released a captivating new single. Tackling the difficult and affecting subject of self-harm and the effect that this can have on loved ones, ‘Viridian’ soars with DYVR’s soulful vocals interwoven between a sweeping ethereal soundscape and whirring, pulsating beats.

An emotion-strewn sonic delight, it oozes a subtle power reminiscent of the likes of James Blake. Of the track and its subject matter, DYVR explains: “emotional landscapes can feel impossible to navigate. One of the most difficult things is finding the right way to speak about the issue, or whether to say anything at all…”

‘Viridian’ showcases DYVR’s ability to juxtapose a challenging subject with a beautifully euphoric, effervescent electronic soundscape, creating an emotion-soaked, and deeply infectious offering.

‘Viridian’ is out now via Veta Records.
