DU BLONDE REVEALS ‘HUNTER’: ‘SINGING MY DIARY, THEN GO HOME…’

Following the release of ‘Black Flag’ and the rather psychedelic ‘Mind Is On My Mind’ feat. Samuel T. Herring, Du Blonde (Beth Jeans Houghton) opens up and shows her emotional side with ‘Hunter’, the latest track lifted from her second album ‘Welcome Back To Milk’, out May 18 on Mute and produced by Bad Seed / Grinderman member Jim Sclavunos.

She explains: “It was one of those songs that just kind of pours out, it wasn’t hard to write. I was listening to a lot of Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin at the time and I was really into their way of putting a lot of honesty and emotion into their songs…I can be Du Blonde on stage, singing my diary, then go home. It’s easier to compartmentalize it like that.”
