Disorientations unleash ‘Allied’ ahead of new album

By Frank Bell

Noisy post-punks Disorientations have announced the release of their debut album ‘Memory Lanes’ (out on [PIAS] Recordings on Feb 4, 2022) and have shared a brand new single from it, ‘Allied’.

‘Allied’ thrives on a clattering & pounding bassline that goes straight for the throat, while guitars pierce and grind. The compelling track tells a story about struggling with anxiety after unexpected experiences with the tragic loss.

In such situations of powerlessness and malfunction, you can start to run into enclosing walls, leaving you haunted by fear. The only way to deal with this is by embracing the inevitable pain that it entails, becoming allied with the emotions you want to run from.
