Deuxes are two charming sisters from the north-west of London who make soul and indie music, playing several instruments. They just dropped their first single Trombone and it’s lit! They’ll follow it up with more songs and an EP called LOUD in late Spring.

This bluesy and tasty number gives off a confident atmosphere with a soft scatting, a captivating melody and underlines the synergy between the two artists.

The two discussed what the title Trombone stands for: Trombone is about addiction, mental health and the use of vices to deal with it but also feeding into the feeling of isolation.”

This duet certainly possesses a unique sound, combining imposing basslines and heavenly melodies with notes of motown and contemporary rock. Plus, they get inspiration from bands such as Muse, Kings of Leon and 90s girl groups like Destiny’s Child, SWV and Eternal.

In November 2021, Deuxes got the chance to record part of their upcoming EP LOUD at RAK studios in London, thanks to winning the Fender Player Plus Studio Session Programme.

The ‘hidden gems of the underground music scene’ have had some incredible opportunities, like performing at Icebreaker Festival, and EYE 2021 festival in Strasbourg, Cro-Cro Land, Sofar Sounds in N.Y.C, Truck Festival, Loud Women Fest, The Hope and Ruin Brighton, and London’s new The Lower Third in Soho
