The future is female, is most likely a line this vivacious artist would advocate. Bursting onto the scene with her single Control, we are hooked and in awe of DEJA’s unquestionable female empowerment energy.
Speaking to us on how she sourced inspiration on the track, DEJA explained…“For me, a recurring topic of conversation is the power of a woman; emotional, sexual, physical. Corey laid down a beat and these lyrics came to mind. “Get money, I’m good with it. Come ‘n let me show you what to do with it.”
Control is not DEJA’s first single of the year having released her first solo track ‘ted talk’ in April, with both tracks leading into her debut EP set to be released at the start of next year and we cannot wait!
