Today we’re drawing back the velvet curtain and stepping into the rich and enchanting realm of cabaret with an upcoming artist who has expertly channeled its spirit into her latest creation.
‘Pink Cabaret‘ by Darian Taylor is a wonderfully lively and smouldering indie dance pop single that seamlessly blends thumping house beats with scintillating swing jazz.
Darian hails from Des Moines, Iowa and is now based in Southwest Florida. Penning the lyrics to all of her music, she would formerly write, produce, mix & master all her music from her bedroom. Her professional music career launched in November, 2018 with the release of her first single ‘Foolish‘, preceding her debut album ‘The Perfectionist‘.
This was followed by the single ‘In the Fire‘ and her sophomore album ‘Just Begun‘ in 2020. Major milestones for the artist have included a performance at renowned Iowa venue Wooly’s opening for Bonne Finken, performing at the Levitt Amp Earlham Music Series, multiple appearances at the 2021 Des Moines Arts Festival and being selected to perform at the 2021 Iowa State Fair. Her latest single ‘Put It on Me’ was the first of 5 songs that she had professionally mixed and mastered in Clearwater, FL.
The independent singer/songwriter has an extensive background in dance and has been in love with musical theater from an early age and her love of burlesque themes and cabaret ambience comes across in the stylish and sassy official music video for Pink Cabaret.
