DAMON ALBARN PERFORMS ‘EVERYDAY ROBOTS’ TO WOMAN ANDROID OTONAROID

Check out Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn’s recent performance at Japan’s National Museum of Emerging Science & Innovation (Miraikan), in collaboration with The Creators Project. The select audience included Otonaroid, a lifelike female android, who moved her body and hummed along to the lyrics, and Telenoid, an abstract human robot, who took a front row seat. Albarn played electric piano and sang songs from his excellent debut solo album ‘Everyday Robots’. I suppose it’s just that complete sense of otherness, isn’t it? For us to really engage with them, they have to look like us.”
