Clifford Reeves, AKA Clifford, unveils his suave new single with an empowering message about pushing through your fears with self-belief and confidence. It’s an attitude-filled, smooth-tongued single that does a great job showcasing Clifford’s husky, alluring vocals atop some juicy bass-lines and dramatic synth.

“Don’t wanna prove it to you, I wanna prove it to me.”

The multitalented artist operates as Singer/Songwriter and Music producer as well as playing bass guitar, keyboard player, and electronic drums. Check out the track as well as our QuickFire Questions with Clifford below.

If you had to describe your sound in three words what would they be?

Pensive. Dreamy. Uplifting.

What is your creative process like? Do you start with lyrics or the music?

My creative process is full of multiple sprints. When I have ideas I work on them for short periods of time. The last stages of mixing/mastering are more like marathons (or so they feel when I’m going through them haha). I usually start with the music because most of the time I get sparks of concepts for songs by singing gibberish.

Could you give some insight into what your musical journey has been like so far?

I began playing drums at 8, acoustic guitar at 11, first band at 13…and I haven’t stopped adding instruments since. I’ve always had music in my life but it wasn’t until an unfortunate soccer accident where I tore my achilles heel that eventually lead me to music. I was laid up for 13 months, during which time I began a Twitch channel. Other than playing games I sang covers for people. Eventually I found all my followers tuning in for the music more than the gaming. I tried creating music while streaming but that was impossible for me. So I began solely making music…that was 3 years ago.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

“Hold On We’re Going Home” by Drake

What do you hope your listeners take away from your music?

We’re all important to the world. Walk tall, be strong, and be courageous.
