On her album Caro says: “I would call it a fun mix of vintage jazz, beats and pop”.
‘The Shocking Miss Emerald’ is inspired by the epicentre of style, romance, excitement, dangerous liaisons and Paris. Caro explains “I read about a Parisian designer from the early 1900s. Her clothes became so famous that, when she died, nobody noticed for a year because everyone was still talking about her.
We looked at the arts scene in Paris at the time, the music, the photography, the fashion. I was so inspired that I co-wrote one of the songs, The Maestro, about Karl Lagerfeld.”
