An uplifting single built on warm acoustic foundations and steady rhythm.
Going Going Gone channels reflective Americana storytelling through open-road imagery, with acoustic guitar, piano and cello supporting Michaels’ understated, cathartic vocal. Michaels explains:
I stumbled upon the chord progression first and followed the emotion it carried. Once the line ‘Going Going Gone’ came to me, the rest of the song revealed itself. It’s about loosening your grip on what’s behind you and trusting the road ahead.
Based in Danville, California, Recording Academy voting member Rocky Michaels crafts heartfelt Americana, with releases including Half Full. Going Going Gone serves as the final single from his forthcoming fourth album, Heroes.
