Starred is Liza Thorn and Matthew Koshak. Check out their brilliant previously unreleased track ‘Sure Bet’, taken from Prison to Prison 12″ EP (on Pendu Sound).
The inspired duo formed the project in 2011 after moving from San Francisco to LA following a personal and artistic break with Christopher Owens and their previous project Curls. Videographer Grant Singer (Sky Ferreira, DIIV, Tamaryn) directed the project’s first 3 videos including the gorgeous ‘No Good’, ‘Call Me From Paris’ and ‘Cemetery / Machine’. Starred recently was requested by Courtney Love to open for a secret show where she announced them to her fans saying “Starred is my favorite band in NYC!”. 
Liza is appearing in Grant Singer’s upcoming film IRL featuring Sky Ferreira, Genesis P-Orridge, and Damien Echols which will premiere at Cannes Court Metrage.
Starred is currently recording tracks for their forthcoming full-length debut.
