The singer and songwriter has created a fashion line designed to work beneath asymmetrical dresses, sheer panels and other styles that conventional shapewear can struggle to accommodate.

Nailah Thorbourne, known as Nyla and one half of Brick & Lace, has launched Vlair Shapewear. The idea came from a practical problem: finding support to wear beneath cut-outs and less conventional silhouettes without changing the outfit.
The online collection includes shaping bodysuits, skirts, shorts and underwear. Its Eclipse Bodysuit is designed for looks such as one-shoulder dresses and sheer panels. Thorbourne’s premise is straightforward: shapewear should adapt to clothes, not dictate them.
Thorbourne said:
I created Vlair because I saw a problem that needed to be solved, not just for myself, but for women who want to wear the clothes they love without having their shapewear work against the design.
Thorbourne’s career spans Brick & Lace and solo work as Nyla, including her collaboration with Major Lazer on Light It Up. She performed with the group at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics closing ceremony in Verona. With Vlair, she is applying her stage-dressing experience to a problem many women face.
