SINGER Delta Goodrem is back with a new sexy look and a new album, co-written by her Irish
boyfriend Brian McFadden.
The Australian beauty has been in a relationship with the former Westlife singer for three years and the pair have penned the bulk of Goodrem’s third album, her first since 2004.
“It’s a really happy album”, said Goodrem.
“On this album there’s songs like God Laughs and Believe Again – I was in a really happy place writing them and I think people will feel that”.
Delta, 22, duetted with Brian on the song Almost Here and the couple sensationally began dating shortly after McFadden split from his wife, Kerry Katona.
But the despite the controversy they stayed together and the former Neighbours actress, who shares a house with McFadden in London, has been snapped playing happily with Brian’s two children, Molly and Lilly-Sue.
The singer credits her boyfriend for getting her through some tough times over the past few years.
She said: “I became an adult. I knew who I was as a girl but I had to find who I was as a woman.
“I’m very settled in my life. I have a great team around me, a great personal life.
“I had to get over a couple of things. My parents divorced, there was a lot going on. But now I truly am inspired again.
“I feel regenerated. I feel I’ve got my energy back”.
The first single from the yet to be titled album, In This Life, has a more rock vibe and was produced by US hit maker John Shanks, who’s credits include Ashlee Simpson, Bon Jovi and Take That.
“I’m not worried any more about changing people’s view of me”, Goodrem said of the track.
“I’ve always been who I am but hopefully with a new sound, it’s very fresh, people will be able to accept I’ve grown and I’ve moved on.
“I’m a little bit older, I’m free and happy, doing music I really love again”.
The video for the single was shot recently in LA and is said to be Delta’s sexiest yet.
“I’ve been away for so long I’m really excited by it all”.
She added: “I’m more than ready to start this whole world again. It took me a second to get back into gear because I haven’t made a video for so long, but it felt better than over”.
