"The progressions in their songs are built so delicately, always taking me to another place when I listen to it."

By Vanessa B

Australian indie artist, Brendon Moon treats us to his top 5 most influential albums as he shares the deliciously soothing yet grungy single ‘Fear‘.

Beach House – Bloom

One of my favourite albums to have playing anywhere, anytime. The progressions in their songs are built so delicately, always taking me to another place when I listen to it.

Cigarettes After Sex – Self Titled

I hugely admire the aesthetic and tone this band creates. CAS really know how to paint a scene of the most cinematic and romantic sort and this album encapsulates just that.

Misery Signals – Controller

This came out when I was 17 and to this day I still get chills listening to it. Their creativity and compositions still blow me away. One of the best metalcore albums I’ve ever heard are one of the biggest influences in my music.

Men I Trust – Oncle Jazz

Emma’s voice is hauntingly beautiful and this album is pure iconic dream pop at its finest. One of the best live performances I’ve seen and one of my favourite bands to listen to on so many occasions.

Mastodon – Crack The Skye

It’s Mastodon, need I say more? Some tracks are 10+ minutes long and I’m thinking “I wished this went for longer”. This album is an absolute masterpiece.
