Bones Ate Arfa returns with ‘Shedtrack’ (ft. Dread FM): A raw and energetic triumph

"The song is aggressive and it rocks like our other tunes, but it really emits the enjoyment we get from this band and the love we have for each other, our scene, and the people who like our music"

Following their compelling debut in January 2023 with the gritty punk anthem Asbestos, Bones Ate Arfa has been shaking up the music scene. Now, the UK’s psychedelic street punk/desert rock trio returns with their latest single, Shedtrack (ft. Dread FM), a powerful showcase of raw energy and organic creativity.

Bones Ate Arfa’s newest release flawlessly merges DIY ethos with bold musical expression. Frontman Arthur Wilson and producer Joss Crooks recorded the drums in a modest shed, using just two iPhones and an iPad as makeshift microphones. The result is a primal sonic experience that harkens back to the band’s early days in the summer of 2021, well before their official formation.

Shedtrack is fueled by Arthur Wilson’s personal frustration with a controlling videographer who tried to hijack a music video shoot. The lyrics serve as a universal statement against power struggles and narcissistic behavior, affecting anyone who has faced similar obstacles.

Despite its intense theme, Shedtrack radiates contagious energy and joy through the performances of Bones (guitar), 8 (drums), and Arfa (bass + vocals) alongside Dread FM. As Arfa himself puts it, The song is aggressive and it rocks like our other tunes, but it really emits the enjoyment we get from this band and the love we have for each other, our scene, and the people who like our music.

In an age of polished production, Bones Ate Arfa’s raw, unfiltered approach stands out. Their commitment to authenticity in sound and message has earned them a dedicated following. Fans appreciate their willingness to embrace imperfections and channel emotions into powerful, relatable music.

With Shedtrack, Bones Ate Arfa solidifies their reputation as a band unafraid to take risks and challenge norms. The future looks bright for this trailblazing trio, and their fans eagerly await what’s next.
