The new blues music star HeavyDrunk, released his 3rd album called You Don’t Know Me. This compelling fundraising 12-track project features a bright and credible mix of impressive jazz, soul, and Americana vibes, which captures the true American South spirit.
The main single from the album, You Don’t Know Me, starts off with a soulful gospel choir that really hooks you in. Then HeavyDrunk deep and raspy vocals take over, blending perfectly with the jazzy-bluesy music playing underneath.
The album is all about helping out! The artist has set up a fundraising campaign to restore the grave of the musical legend, Robert Johnson. So, by getting the album, you’re also raising awareness and supporting this fantastic cause.
Right now, the spotlight is on The Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood, Mississippi. They’re trying to collect funds to fix up the worn-out signs and improve the overall condition of the burial site and church.
The record You Don’t Know Me was totally brought to life by the Grammy winner Casey Wasner. He’s the one behind the recording and mixing that made it sound so amazing.
The album has some terrific guest appearances too! It includes Roy Agee, Prince’s trombone player, Alison Prestwood who has been nominated four times for the Academy of Country Music Bass Player of the Year, the talented LA brothers The Deltaz on guitar and drums, and Etta Britt from Dave & Sugar on vocals.
When HeavyDrunk isn’t rocking it out, he gets creative in the kitchen. The artist and his wife used to own, fix up, and run Puckett’s in Leiper’s Fork. It was only until recently that they did that.
The duo made over 10,000 pies and smoked more than 700,000 lbs of BBQ at the restaurant, gas station, and live music venue that USA Today and Rand McNally named “The number one place to drive and eat in America.”
