California-born, now Berlin-based singer-songwriter Ed Prosek explores themes of love and loss through a unique perspective in his latest single ‘If I Die’.

‘If I Die’ is a track that sees Prosek’s delicate and soothing vocals weave their way around a beautifully composed bed of acoustic guitars. The track explores themes of love and death with Prosek expressing in the chorus that “If I die, before I wake, I pray that all, in the end, is forgiven.” ‘If I Die’ follows up from his latest single ‘The Garden’ – a blissful melancholic acoustic-led single. The multi-instrumentalist continues on his journey refining his ability in writing heart-felt acoustic-centred songs that centre around intimate themes of love, loss, and self-awareness.

When asked about ‘If I Die’, Prosek stated that “‘If I Die’ at its core is a love song that tries to describe the perspective and intransigence of two characters: One a statue, the other a painting,” explains Ed. “Their superficial differences make them appear as if they’re opposites, but from the right distance they’re more alike than not.” He continues, “I originally wrote the chorus to this song for another artist, but immediately fell in love with it and greedily never even showed it to them! I guess what they don’t know can’t hurt them!”

‘If I Die’ will be released worldwide on SCOLA Records
