Italian multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Parisini, known by his stage name Bear Of Bombay, has just released Tears From Space feat. Clustersun, the lead single from his highly anticipated album PsychoDreamElectroGaze, set to drop in September 2024. Originating from Milan, Bear Of Bombay blends a variety of music styles to create a unique sound that has captured the attention of the international music scene.

Accompanying the single is a music video crafted by Milanese visual artist Antonello Raggi. The video aims to visually represent the music’s syncopated rhythms through a blend of 1980s-inspired video feedback and light art performance, capturing a hypnotic search for something that transcends both the external and internal realms.

Tears From Space features an intricate array of synth/sequencers, rhythmic loops, noise guitars, and ethereal vocal entries, crafting a sonic landscape that feels like a perpetual flow through space, searching for the elusive and indefinable.

Described by Parisini as a “trip” in “kraut sauce”, the single balances between electronica and psychedelia, melody and sonic experimentation. The track is further elevated by Mario Lo Faro from the Catanian band Clustersun, whose masterful guitar work adds layers of shoegaze and post-punk to the composition.

Bear Of Bombay took on the roles of producer and recording artist for Tears From Space, with co-production and additional recording by Francesco Campanozzi at Casamedusa Studios in Milan. The track was then mixed and mastered in London by renowned engineer James Aparicio, known for his work with Spiritualized, Mogwai, and Depeche Mode.

Parisini first made waves in 2021 with his debut EP, Something Stranger, where he skillfully combined psych, krautrock, synthpop, and post-punk. This eclectic mix received widespread critical acclaim and substantial radio play across Europe and North America, particularly for the hit single The Storm.

As Bear Of Bombay prepares to release PsychoDreamElectroGaze, the single Tears from Space establishes a high bar for the album, reinforcing Lorenzo Parisini’s standing as a significant force in contemporary music. He seamlessly blends genres and eras, creating a distinct sound that’s uniquely his own.
