AZADEH Explores ANXIETY On New Single

"Anxiety is a song all about juxtapositions. I wanted to write a fun, happy song that perfectly described the way I cope with anxiety-inducing social situations as a woman. It’s about the times when the energy you emit is the polar opposite to the one you express out loud. Sometimes we think we are hiding our anxieties but in reality, they stick out like a sore thumb and by not addressing them, we actually make people around us even more uncomfortable."

It’s an Emphatic Pop Anthem from the Rising Songwriter

By Vasco Dega

Perfectly using juxtaposition to display issues of mental health and anxiety, through the medium of upbeat and feel-good pop music – Songwriter Azadeh soars on her new single Anxiety. A departure from her usual, piano-driven emotive songwriting, Anxiety explores the Persian-British songwriter’s passion for a feel-good pop anthem.

Speaking on the new single and its personal message, Azadeh states: “Anxiety is a song all about juxtapositions. I wanted to write a fun, happy song that perfectly described the way I cope with anxiety-inducing social situations as a woman. It’s about the times when the energy you emit is the polar opposite to the one you express out loud. Sometimes we think we are hiding our anxieties but in reality, they stick out like a sore thumb and by not addressing them, we actually make people around us even more uncomfortable.  It’s this ‘coping’ syndrome that I find fascinating: Why are we revered when we do too much and burn out? When the language we use to speak is the opposite of the one we feel inside, we create this discord. And then when we then talk, we emit a vibration that can never feel harmonious within our cells, to the people around us and, ultimately, to the planet.
