"The song, to put it simply, is a self-motivation song. It’s a pick yourself up, get your shit together moment."

Cutting-edge artist Awir Leon has just dropped a new song called Stars and it’s a total bop. After traveling the world and opening for Woodkid for two years, Awir is back with new music, ending with the album Love You, Drink Water.

Leon puts together some incredible music with vocal sampling, analog synth sounds, and hard-hitting beats, he can easily switch from rapping to singing, creating an unforgettable, energetic experience.

The hooks of the music are attention-grabbing yet not too overwhelming, which makes it perfect. Stars is a great preview of the upcoming album Love You, Drink Water, definitely worth a listen if you want to get an idea of what the album has in store.

Leon talks about the single, saying: “Stars, to put it simply, is a self-motivation song. It’s a pick yourself up, get your shit together moment. The chorus is like a motto, or even a mantra: ‘All hands in the mud’ refers to taking your life in your hands, and re-owning your force of creation, ‘touch skin like a treasure’ refers to enjoying and being grateful for what is in your life, and ‘do we know we’re alive?’ It is pretty self-explanatory. ‘All the stars on your skin when you’re sweaty’ is probably the core line of the song though. It gives this idea that you’ll find another dimension by picking yourself up again and shining through effort.”

Awir Leon is a real talent – he has not only done music, but has also been involved with various international dance companies, such as Emanuel Gat Dance, for ten years.
