Broken Wings’ is the latest collaborative single from DC-based rapper ARIA and Russian powerhouse producer KDDK featuring uncompromising bars from Chicago’s own rapper G Herbo. The track, released through Effective Records, is a blend of trap-leaning bass and drum samples accompanied by ethereal soundscape sonics with a 00’s hip-hop-inspired chorus hook sung by a female vocalist. The track also showcases ARIA’s unique smooth vocal delivery and gifted wordplay.
ARIA states: “I recorded my part on ‘Broken Wings’ before anyone really even knew what the song was going to be. Just watching the song come together in itself was an art to me. It went from being just a great verse and hook to a smash-hit of a song. Shoutout to KDDK for bringing it all together and G Herbo for hitting his verse out of the park.”
KDDK explains: “It’s been a great pleasure to work on this project with ARIA and G Herbo! The pandemic taught us to work and collaborate despite distances and inconvenience and I think each take only gets better.
