unveils his new single Gang feat Sarah Maison – out now on Yuksek’s Partyfine label.
What was the first album you bought?
The Pixies – Surfer Rosa
Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations and why?
Minnie Riperton for the elegance of the groove.
Cut Copy, they always surprise me while keeping a strong signature .
Pinback, these guys are the masters of melodies.

What are some non-musical inspirations that motivate your music?
Pierre Soulages is a major inspiration, for his capacity of finding an endless range of emotions out of black only.
I also spend quite some time looking for new photographers, I’ve always loved a certain kind of photography in the likes of David LaChapelle. I’d also mention taking care of my plants, it teaches a lot about patience and long term carefulness.
Tell us about your new single for GANG?
The story behind this track started a year ago, I was looking for a vocalist for an instrumental laidback disco track i had. I knew exactly what I wanted but I couldn’t find the right person when one night I started to talk about it with a close friend of mine and he instantly came up with Sarah Maison. I knew her already and felt stupid not thinking about her earlier so I massaged her with the track and the day after she sent me something very close to the final vocal takes. I was so amazed, she nailed it way above my expectations, and she surprised me with the French (it’s a first in my entire discography). Then I sent it to Yuksek and he answered right away to propose a release on Partyfine.
What can we expect from you in 2020?
Several EPs and singles are lined up on different labels for 2020, as well as remixes. Eventually i will release a new album, most likely for 2021!
