After basking in a wave of critical acclaim for their previous single Bloodline, Amethysts, the duo of musical alchemists, are set to enchant listeners once again with the title track from their EP, New Moon (Released Nov 17th). Released via Tabby Tracks Records & Conch Town Records, the duo’s latest offering, New Moon, once again underscores their progress and knack in creating atmospheric, emotionally resonant soundscapes.

The production prowess behind New Moon is helmed by none other than Alex Gordon, renowned for his work with The Cure and Bat For Lashes. Mastered by the band’s live engineer, Tom Stanford, the track weaves moody electronics seamlessly with intricate guitar work, creating an immersive auditory experience that transcends genres.

Amethysts, known for their distinctive fusion of shoegaze-influenced guitar riffs, analogue synths, and warming bass, expertly capture the essence of electronic, indie, and dreampop elements that have become the hallmark of their stylistic live performances. Clarice‘s vocals, alternating between delicate and soaring, add an additional layer of emotional depth, making New Moon a sonic tapestry that resonates with listeners.

In a candid reflection on the track, Clarice shares, “The track is about new beginnings and giving your whole self to something like never before. Not knowing how much you needed that something in your life until it came to light, bringing with it a sense of contentment and direction.”
