Host, producer, and Chicken Shop Date founder Amelia Dimoldenberg is bringing back Dimz Inc. Academy, expanding the free programme for London-based young creatives into a four-week training and access model built around digital media, production, mentoring, and paid work placements.

Open to 18–24-year-olds, the in-person programme will run through August across Lambeth and Central London, offering hands-on experience across the full creative process: idea development, pitching, filming, editing, feedback, and final showcase.

The academy was created to open practical routes into the creative industries for young people who may not have traditional access to those networks. Developed with Spiral Skills and supported this year by Adobe, the programme now includes Adobe Premiere Pro training, industry workshops, guest creatives, one-to-one mentoring, alumni support, and a £300 bursary for successful applicants.

The return follows a strong first year, with every participant improving their overall skills score and 93% showing measurable gains in creativity, planning, and adaptability through the Skills Builder framework.

Across the four weeks, participants will work in production teams to create original digital content. The programme also includes the chance to shadow a Chicken Shop Date shoot, giving young creatives direct insight into how a professional digital format is built and produced.

For Dimoldenberg, the academy connects directly to her own route into the industry. Chicken Shop Date began as a column for a North London youth project magazine before becoming one of the most recognisable interview formats of the digital era. With Dimz Inc. Academy, that creator-led success now becomes infrastructure: training, access, paid placements, and a network for the next generation.

“Creative industries are full of talented young people who often just need someone to open the door,” said Amelia Dimoldenberg. “Dimz Inc. Academy is about creating those opportunities for others, helping young people develop practical skills, build meaningful connections and take their first steps into careers they may never have thought were accessible to them.”

For FM PRO TECH, the signal is bigger than one training scheme. Creator-led media brands are increasingly moving beyond content into talent development, workflow education, and industry access.

That is where the real shift sits: digital formats are no longer just entertainment products. At their strongest, they become pipelines.

Dimz Inc. Academy is a clean example of that evolution. A creator-built platform turning visibility into structure, and structure into opportunity.
