If you’ve found yourself with more downtime at home, you may be at a loss for how to spend your free time. However, finding some new and enjoyable online hobbies is easier than you’d think, so we’ve put together a shortlist to help you decide what to do next.

Online Casinos

One industry which is thriving right now is the online casino sector, with the iGaming platforms offering enough choice to rival the most extensive streaming services. The appeal of online casinos is partly due to the vast variety on offer. Along with being able to choose virtual or live versions of traditional table games, players have a multitude of slots to play. It would be true to say that there is something for everyone.

It is a good time for new players to join as well, for example Lucky-7-bonus.ca – as the competitive nature of the sector means that operators are offering lucrative bonuses as a way to attract players.

Console Games

Nearly every console game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has some sort of online mode which allows players to either collaborate or compete with other people online. If you plug in your headset while playing, this is a great chance to interact with other players from the comfort of your own home. One of the most popular titles for this type of play is GTA V Online, which has had more than 33 million active players at its height.

If driving cars and planning heists doesn’t suit you, there are plenty of other games that could keep you occupied. For example, FIFA 20 has a vast number of online players and this would appeal to football fans, and if you fancy a games night in with family and friends, the party game series Jackbox is always a good idea, with plenty of mini-games to keep you playing for hours.

Online Quizzes

Something that has become hugely popular in recent months is online socialising with friends over conference apps like Zoom. Indeed, Zoom has added more users in the first months of 2020 as it did in the whole of 2019. This year, the company added 2.22 million active users while, in 2019, it only added 1.99 million according to Bernstein.

A popular thing to do when meeting friends online is to play a quiz. You could take it in turns to have a different quiz master each week, or another option would be to let each participant contribute a certain number of questions.

There are plenty of other online hobbies that you could get into. If you are a PC or mobile player, you could try some MMOs that you haven’t played before. Or if playing games just isn’t your thing, how about learning a language via an online course?

Whether you’re eager to pursue self-improvement or simply want to have some fun, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to finding the right hobby at home.
