"I wrote this song to remember what life was like when you could go to house parties, have a drink, listen to some good music and have a good time.”

Houston rapper AdamTx has returned with new single Kickback from his recently released EP, somewhereintexas vol. 1. The rising rapper has been amazing us for a while now with several notable releases over the past few years, but he’s taken things to a new level with this latest project.

With an elite flow and impressive lyrical abilities, AdamTx will be one to keep a close eye on, as Kickback definitively shows what a special talent he is but at the same time indicates there’s still so much more to come, which is exciting. Other tracks on the EP, such as Drip, make it clear Kickback is no fluke, as the track hears AdamTx once again in his element with his versatile and dynamic cadence alongside an infectious hip-hop beat.

Speaking more on Kickback, AdamTx says, “It was my engineer, Niko, and I in his studio when I came across this beat and immediately came to my head ‘I’m at yo kickback.’ When I finished recording the song, Niko said, ‘I could really hear this on the radio.’ I made this song because I felt like everyone’s just been locked in their homes not able to go out and be social because of Covid. Some people won’t even go to events anymore if they know the venue isn’t checking if people are vaccinated. So, I wrote this song to remember what life was like when you could go to house parties, have a drink, listen to some good music and have a good time.” Kickback and somewhereintexas vol. 1 are out now on all platforms.
