Duo Lemonade Lake have made a stellar debut with their track ‘27 (All My Friends Are Boring)’. Creating a sound that can be described as a mix between alt-rock and sickly sweet indie, their commercial yet unique brand is particularly striking. Taking the traditional indie sound and turning it on its head, the pair aren’t afraid to add a splash of the unconventional, as they deliver a sound that is both lo-fi yet polished.
Lemonade Lake reveal: “‘27’ is a song all about when you are feeling lost and directionless at a time when you’re meant to be doing your best. It’s for when you’re unhappy with the path you’re on, even though it’s a path you chose.”
Lemonade Lake is a band based in Manchester, with the duo having met each other there at University. Unafraid to shake things up, the band have started as they mean to go on, and we can’t wait to see what they return with next.
