South East London duo, Amy Love and Georgia South – aka Nova Twins – unleash convincingly solid and dynamic punk rock track ‘Lose Your Head’, out now via Flying Vinyl.
Hi Nova Twins! How are you today?
We are goood. Just landed in London from Switzerland.
Can you describe your sound in five words?
Amy – Raucous, distorted, genre bending, powerful, in-your-face!
What’s your new single ‘Lose Your Head’ all about?
Georgia – It’s a celebration of people’s uniqueness and differences, wiping out and rejecting judgmental opinions!
You’ve been compared to Rage Against The Machine and H09909, would you say they’re fair comparisons?
Amy – Love both bands. I don’t think musically but definitely the energy we bring to the table.
You’ve supported bands such as Prophets Of Rage and Die Antwoord, but is there a particular gig that stands out as a career highlight?
Georgia – Supporting Prophets of Rage is definitely well up there… I think playing festivals in South Africa and Reunion was a definite highlight for me as I never thought our music could take us somewhere so insanely beautiful!
Are there any plans for an EP or album in the works?
Amy – Yes! I will say no more…
Now we’re into the season, are there any particular festivals you’re looking forward to this year?
Georgia – We’re literally counting down the days till AfroPunk Brooklyn! We’ve both never been to New York before and it’s been on our wish list for years! We’re gonna stay out there for a week to get the full New York experience haha!
And finally, where can we find you online?
Amy – You can find us on Instagram, Facebook and all the other usual platforms – @NovaTwinsMusic
