FM Exclusive | Brother Zulu’s ‘Honey’

Brother Zulu’s ‘Honey’, works as the ideal introduction to Lawrence, Noah, Max, Alex and Youssef’s sonic realm. A rather smart display of smoothly modern sound hued by timeless soul vibes. Welcome to their ‘hi-fi vintage’ delight…

The London based, eclectic friends explain: “‘Honey’ marks the beginning of our journey as a 5 piece band. We really enjoyed our time diving into the classic sounds of our favourite 60’s and 70’s Soul artists in search of the right tones to shape the song writing into the production it is today. This mixed with insight shared with the band from friends who have worked with the likes of Quincy Jones, Ray Charles and Ghostface Killah has brought the track into what we call our own take on a modern day ‘Hi-fi Vintage’ sound.”

‘Honey’ was mixed by Steve Honest (Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Fleetwood Mac) and mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, Ghostface Killah, Ray Charles).
