First up…Producer, vocalist, and street artist… where do you get the energy and inspiration from for all that?
5 hour energy and malt liquor. Are you really a Gourmet sandwich maker’? If so…Your best sandwich ever?
I once made a sandwich out of an In’N’Out cheeseburger and 2 Krispy Kreme donuts. My heart stopped for 6 minutes. Worth it.
Tell us 3 things we should know about “The Silence”
1. Its actually quite loud
2. If you play the chorus backwards, you can hear Dillon Francis whispering “I ate your cat’s poo” (not a joke)
3. The first thing Calvin Harris said after he heard it was “Hey who the fuck are you get out of my car”Can you introduce us to “From The Bottom of My Heart To The Top Of Your Lungs” mixtape…?
Its a mix of 10 collaborations and remixes with Crywolf, Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Syn Cole, Kill The Noise, UZ, heRobust, Aylen, and PrototypeRaptor.
My favorite songs are the ones I can sing along to like an idiot at the top of my lungs. That’s how I wanted every song on this record to be.What were your influences whilst writing the mixtape?
Mostly heartbreak. And my framed portrait of Zedd.
What’s one secret you can share with aspiring street artists in LA and NY?
LA cops are faster than New York cops. I’m not sure why.
Tell us a bit about your early days in LA and how they differ from now?
I used to sleep on apartment couches. Now I sleep on studio couches.Urban Guerrilla Street Art…When does a work of art become “subversive”?
All art is subversive. Some is just less obvious.
If you had the chance to collaborate with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Mozart. Or the Mambo No.5 guy.
What’s coming next for you?
A couples cruise with Diplo
